NUROFEN - SEE MY PAIN //

DISMISSAL PACK

1 in 2 women has felt ignored or dismissed based on their gender.

1 in 6 in the UK live in severe pain every day

The gender pain gap refers to the disparity in how pain is perceived, diagnosed, and treated between genders, with women’s pain often being underestimated, dismissed, or undertreated compared to men’s. It is Nurofen’s mission with their ‘See My Pain’ campaign to help close it.

A recent study found that doctors often viewed men with chronic pain as “brave” or “stoic,” but viewed women as “hysterical” or “emotional”.

So to bring attention to this issue, we created a larger than life pill pack that showcased the things real women in pain have heard when seeking help, highlighting the fact that women’s pain is met with dismissals instead of proper treatment.
